The legacy of fine art created in the Great Lakes Bay Region includes a rich history of artists that include names we hear in the art history books… Alden B. Dow, E. Irving Couse, Jim Shaw, to name a few. The intention of this exhibit is to spotlight the artists currently working in our region and remind art lovers that there are many wonderful artworks available right here in the Great Lakes Bay Region!
This ten week exhibit showcases the works of 50 artists. A panel of experts in the visual arts and community leaders from the region have selected the artists. 50 artworks will be displayed in the Rowley and Tabor Galleries at Studio 23 / The Arts Center from September 22nd through November 25th. An artists reception will be hosted on Thursday, October 12th from 6pm-8pm. In addition, 50 artworks from the selected artists will be shown throughout Downtown Bay City in an ArtWalk. The public can vote during the ArtWalk and the winners will be revealed at the Closing Reception on Saturday, November 25th in the galleries of Studio 23 from 5:00 pm–7:00 pm.
