In this 2-hour workshop led by artist in residence Jay Handy, participants will learn the technique of ‘chine colle’ printmaking. Jay will guide the group through the process of etching a Plexiglas matrix, as well as applying, embedding, and properly wiping off ink. Finally, the prepared plate will be sent through a press with a sheet of art paper, leaving the creator with their work of art to bring home. Artwork will feature historic and nostalgic images of Bay City.

A $5 payment is required to reserve your seat for this workshop. Space is limited. Please call Studio 23 at 989-894-2323 to reserve your seat.

This workshop is generously sponsored by the Bay Area Community Foundation.
