Teenworks and Kids’ Kreations 2020

February 6 – March 7, 2020

Teenworks & Kids’ Kreations celebrates the artwork created by students attending art classes throughout Bay County. This is a wonderful opportunity to see their imaginative art displayed in the Rowley and Tabor Galleries at Studio 23.

Understory: Bonnie Lalley

March 19 – May 2, 2020

Bonnie Lalley is a full-time artist, illustrator, and art professor at Delta College. She lives in the countryside by choice, as flora and fauna are the motifs she loves best. Her 100-year-old home and studio in the Thumb reflect her aesthetic with vintage colors and patinas.

Land to River: Community Collaboration

May 14 – June 20, 2020

This invitational exhibit features artists as communicators, explorers and environmentalists. The body of work presented includes paintings, drawings, and sculpture inspired by our natural resources.

This annual exhibit showcases the artwork created by the talented students and instructors of Studio 23 during the 2019–2020 terms. You are invited to meet the artists and instructors, plus learn more about our education programs during the reception.

Chalk Walk Art Festival 2020

August 15, 2020

This annual festival  features chalk art, live music, art market and food vendors on the sidewalks of historic Downtown Bay City near Wenonah Park.

MI Artists All-State Juried Exhibition

September 12 – November 14, 2020

This juried exhibition shines a spotlight on the current artwork created by artists from across the state of Michigan. The body of work displayed is an energetic blend of abstraction and realism from our state’s valuable resource of artists.

Rosemary Kavanagh

November 25 – January 9, 2020

Rosemary Kavanagh’s paintings depict the authentic theme of her family’s connection to the historic past of Bay City. Her interpretations of the past are manifested in sepia-toned oil paintings and mixed-media costumes fashioned from antique dress patterns. Rosemary is our featured artist of our annual fundraiser, The Black & White Affair.
