Rhonda Luckey is a multidisciplinary textile artist whose work is inspired by the quiet language of the natural world. She gathers natural fibers from her surrounding environment, transforming them through a range of processes that honor traditional textile practices while inviting contemporary exploration. Weaving tradition with innovation, her work is shaped by the rich histories, mythologies, and artistic traditions of Asian and European cultures—an influence rooted in her childhood years in Okinawa, France, and Italy.
The Studio 23 Visiting Artist Program is generously supported by the C Joanne Grabinski Visiting Artist Fund.
